Seven Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops

New York State Police troopers were busy over Memorial Day Weekend, removing more than two dozen motorists for alleged impaired driving in the Hudson Valley.

The 27 area residents charged over the weekend include:

Westchester County

  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Brewster arrested Lawrence C. Marquez, 27, of South Salem, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Geraldo Duperon, 23, of Mount Vernon, for DWI. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant, when he was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Somers arrested Johnny K. Bravo, 55, of Somers, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Lewisboro, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Somers arrested Jesse E. Zappala, 27, of Harrison, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Bedford, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Dover Plains arrested Perminderji S. Dhanoa, 40, of Shrub Oak, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 55 in Pawling, when he was found relieving himself on the shoulder of the roadway. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Monday, May 27, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Darwin A. Betancourth, 28, of Yorktown, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Red Mill Road in Cortlandt, when his vehicle became disabled due to a flat tire. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Monday, May 27, State Police from Somers arrested Michelle B. Legoues, 54, of Yorktown, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 35 in Somers, and was involved in a two-car motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Friday, May 24, State Police from Dover Plains arrested Carol M. Higgins, 74, of Amenia, for DWI, a misdemeanor, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. She was found in a parking lot off State Route 22 in Dover, after being the subject of an erratic driver complaint. The investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Rasheed S. Harrell, 31, of Beacon, for DWI. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Rhinebeck arrested Jose A. Rodriguez, 54, of Hyde Park, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law. He was traveling on State Route 9G in Hyde Park, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol with a child in the vehicle, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Wappinger arrested Lisa D. Kroll, 38, of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. She was traveling on Noxon Road in  LaGrange, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, May 26, State Police from Wappinger arrested Shirley Barco, 36, of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 376 in Lagrange, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, May 26, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested Matthew J. Oliksowycz, 32, of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. He was traveling on Haight Avenue in Poughkeepsie, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, May 26, State Police from Rhinebeck arrested Christopher M. Saraceno, 36, of Wappingers Falls, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law, a class E felony. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol with a child in the vehicle, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Monday, May 27, State Police from Rhinebeck arrested James Glynn, 43, of Hyde Park, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on State Route 9G in Hyde Park, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of drugs, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Tuesday, May 28, State Police from Wappinger arrested Lincoln O. Wilson, 41, of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Tuesday, May 28, State Police from Stormville arrested Peter A. Waterous, 49, of East Fishkill, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill, when he was found disabled after striking a guard rail and leaving the scene. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Friday, May 24, State Police from Brewster arrested Percy L. Beamon, 61, of Carmel, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, May 26, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Robert J. Passantino, 43, of Carmel, for DWI with two prior convictions, a class D felony, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. He was traveling on State Route 6 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

  • On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Brewster arrested Stephen P. Pohlot, 51, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 6 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, May 26, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Cristian V. Lopez Morocho, 33, of Bridgeport, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, May 26, State Police from Brewster arrested Isau R. Martinez Coronado, 27, of Norwalk, for DWI with a prior conviction within ten years, a class E felony. He was traveling on Danbury Road in Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
